Victor Reads “Amazing Snakes”

Standard

Teachers’ Note: Victor loves snakes. Last year hedid a research project on the king cobra, and he was one of the few that finished his research project, with a whopping 2 pages typed. With that said, he really knows his stuff when it comes to snakes.  This book is geared toward 2nd graders (which he is), so the type of information in it is probably below what he already knew.

Book Title: Amazing Snakes

Author: Sarah L Thomson

This book was about different kinds of snakes. It talked about how they looked, and how they’re related to birds, but they don’t have wings or feathers or legs.  It also talked about where they can live. They like to live in jungles, forests, lakes, deserts, and parks. I DIDN’T CARE about this book because it was SO  boring and long, but the pictures were cool. My favorite part was  when  the people found a giant anaconda in the desert. Those snakes are awesome.

One word to describe this book is: boring.

I give this book 1 star.

Teachers’ Note 2: Liliana also read this book, but didn’t want to do a report on it because she thought it was too gross and scary. Every time she turned the page she, showed it to me, and we both mutually freaked out. So needless to say I think the “boring” is just a matter of opinion.
